In-game bio: A gruff, grumpy old siege commander who hates new technology. He also belives that with age comes wisdom.

Personality: Steiner is always grumbling about something, usually the 'evils' of technology, and how things were always better in the old days. He lives by the motto 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it', and manages to blame everything on technology. Despite his grumblings, Steiner is an extremely competent siege commander, although he is very modest about his abilities. He also enjoys a good laugh wherever one can be found.

History: Steiner has been around a while, but he's been living in retirement for many years. He was once a CO serving under the White Sun army, as one of its peerless generals, before they became rebels. The subsequent decline of White Sun, Steiner has blamed entirely on new technology, insistent that returning the old ways would have brought White Sun back to glory. He joined the Dark Pulsar army in the hope of rebuilding the world in the image of his old home. Despite their subsequent defeat, Steiner has remained in Malice's service, as he has become quite fond of him. He is also greatly impressed by the strength of the Allied Nations CO's, and wishes to test them some more.

Steiner is an excellent siege commander. As such, all indirect units and Bombers gain a large firepower boost (120/100). They also gain firepower bonuses based on the terrain stars the target has (5% per star). However, because of his loathing of new technologies, Neotanks, Megatanks, Stealths, Carriers, Piperunners, Black Boats and Black Bombs have reduced firepower (90/100), and cost 10% more than usual to deploy, because of his reluctance to use them.
